One thought brings another thought and that thought again brings another thought..
Then a thread of thoughts come to occupy my mind.
One emotion brings another emotion and that emotion again brings another emotion ..
That way emotions come to occupy my mind.
I quite often use scissors of thoughts or scissors of emotions, when I feel I am overwhelmed by bundles of thoughts and emotions.
For me the scissors are my journal.
The cutting effect can be multiplied when I find some quiet place to write the journal.
And the way to amplify the effect even more is to write the journal along with doing what I do, like listening to the music I like, or eating the food I like.
It's like establishing my own ritual.
One of such rites for my soul, which I've come to develop since I moved in Edinburgh and began to use the national library routinely, is from time to time sitting at a table in the library cafe and writing my journal, enjoying the flavour of a strawberry tart.
So, just two pounds is enough to restore peace to my mind in this chaotic cosmos.
